Saw Eden is a medical doctor, working in the public health, nutrition, and nutrition-sensitive food security and livelihoods field for 17 years in Save the Children and International Rescue Committee. He is committed to promoting nutrition among children and mothers by means of social behavior change (designing evidence-based behavior change programs), integrated management of acute malnutrition (IMAM), infant and young child feeding (IYCF), and breastfeeding counselling programs. He has engaged with the emergency response of cyclones (Nargis, Giri), Covid 19, multiple crisis and the earthquake 2025 in Myanmar. He hosts Scaling Up Nutrition Civil Society Alliance network, co-chairs IMAM/IYCF Technical Working Group (TWG) and serves as a member of Assessment Information Management TWG and a member of Interim Technical Taskforce of developing Food Based Dietary Guidelines for the Country. He was a scholar in the Liberty and Leadership Program of George W. Bush Presidential Center.
