Ana obtained her PhD at the Warwick Centre for Global Health at the University of Warwick. Her current research focuses on quantifying the magnitude and inequalities of the double burden of malnutrition (i.e., co-existence of overweight/obesity and anaemia) among adult women, adolescent girls and children living in low-and middle-income countries. Her main research interests lie in maternal and child health, health inequalities, urban nutrition and food environments. Ana holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (Spain and USA) and a Master of Public Health (UK).
