Miriam Silke Pietzsch is an independent consultant specialising in climate programming, loss and damage, and disaster risk management, with over 20 years of experience across Asia-Pacific, Sub-Saharan Africa, and beyond. She has provided senior technical and advisory support to FAO, WFP, Action Against Hunger, Oxfam, and MSF across food security, nutrition, anticipatory action, shock-responsive social protection, and climate finance mechanisms including GCF, GEF, and the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage. She holds a Master of International Public Health from Maastricht University and an MSc in Human Nutrition from the University of Kiel, and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and humanitarian knowledge platforms.
