Kristi Mahrt is a development economist with more than 14 years of experience in applied quantitative research. Her work focuses on poverty and welfare measurement, nutrition and food security, and gender dynamics, primarily using household and individual survey data in Africa, Asia, and the Pacific. She has contributed to official poverty measurement, research on the cost and affordability of healthy diets, and analysis of child nutrition and health outcomes, including anthropometric indicators. Her work has also included survey design and implementation and technical training and capacity building.
