Pic More Veg

Empowering Food Systems for Healthier Diets in Fiji

This 2-year scoping research study aims to delve into the key constraints and opportunities within Fiji’s food environments, across urban and rural areas, to promote healthier and vegetable-rich diets. By bridging the information gap in national food, nutrition, non-communicable disease (NCD), and agriculture policies, PIC more Veg will pave the way for evidence-based intervention strategies. Through empirical research, data collection, and engagement with policy audiences and citizens, Dikoda will contribute valuable insights to identify entry points for food system policies and interventions. This project will not only enhance research capacity among Fijian stakeholders but also foster inclusive and evidence-informed programs and policies. Stay tuned for the exciting outcomes of this transformative initiative as we work towards a healthier and more sustainable food system in Fiji.
