Hussein Jamil Mohammad is a Public Health and Nutrition professional with over 15 years of experience in health systems management, nutrition programming, and humanitarian emergency response in Syria. His areas of expertise include Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM), Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF), community-based nutrition, programme coordination, monitoring and evaluation, and stakeholder engagement with government institutions, UN agencies, and humanitarian partners. 

Hussein has worked with Samaritan’s Purse as a Nutrition Program Coordinator in Northeast Syria, supporting the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of nutrition programmes across multiple locations. His experience also includes working with the Directorate of Health in Al-Hasakah, contributing to public health programmes and health systems strengthening. 

As part of the Dikoda/UNICEF NEAT-S Syria study, Hussein supports the research team as a Researcher and Field Coordinator, with a focus on stakeholder coordination, field implementation, training, contextual adaptation of research tools, and coordination of field activities in Syria.
