Global Landscape Analysis on Nutritional Management of Infants at Risk of Poor Growth and Development

We are excited to announce a landmark initiative that positions Dikoda at the forefront of global efforts to combat infant malnutrition and promote healthy growth and development. Commissioned by UNICEF, we are embarking on a comprehensive Landscape Analysis on Nutritional Management of Infants at Risk of Poor Growth and Development. This initiative is dedicated to identifying effective policies and programs that can address the critical challenges faced by infants under six months who are at risk of not growing as they should and inform global programming guidance.

Around the world, nearly 8.5 million infants under six months are affected by wasting, a condition that severely undermines their development, health, and survival prospects. The urgency of addressing this issue cannot be overstated, as early intervention is crucial to prevent irreversible damage and ensure a healthy trajectory for these vulnerable infants.

Our project encompasses a wide-ranging investigation across various regions, examining the multifaceted aspects of malnutrition and its impact on infant growth and development. By focusing on evidence-based interventions, we aim to uncover the most effective strategies to combat malnutrition at its earliest stages. This includes exploring the key drivers, barriers, and opportunities for integrating sustainable solutions into existing health and nutrition frameworks.
