This project aims to develop a robust methodology for reviewing and analyzing existing literature on the use of Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) to enhance access to local, nutritious foods and specialized foods for the prevention and management of Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM).
Through a comprehensive evidence review, the project identifies best practices, challenges, and opportunities in using CVA as a tool to improve dietary diversity and nutritional outcomes, particularly in vulnerable populations. The findings will inform research and operational recommendations to strengthen future CVA strategies, ensuring they are more effective, sustainable, and nutrition-sensitive.
By bridging research and practice, this project supports the design of innovative, context-specific CVA programs that promote better access to essential foods, ultimately contributing to improved nutrition security and resilience in communities at risk of malnutrition.
