Our team at Dikoda believes that good nutrition is a fundamental human right and a critical element for achieving sustainable development.
In Bangladesh, we focus on maternal nutrition, nutrition in the workplace, and urban nutrition because we recognize that these areas are crucial for improving the health and well-being of communities.

is a key focus for us because it plays a crucial role in the long-term health of mothers and their children.

we recognize nutrition’s critical role in enhancing workers’ wellbeing, productivity and reducing absenteeism. We work with businesses to design and implement workplace nutrition programs that improve the health and well-being of their employees while also benefiting their bottom line.

is another area of focus for us because we recognize that rapid urbanization in Bangladesh has led to significant changes in dietary patterns and lifestyles. Children in poor urban areas are at nutritional risk due to factors such as limited access to healthy food, inadequate sanitation, and poor living conditions. We work with government agencies and other partners to analyze urban food systems and design interventions that promote healthy eating
At Dikoda, we research and test nutrition-specific and sensitive interventions using new design, new delivery platforms, and new entry points. We provide technical services through in-house experts and researchers to develop evaluations, impact studies, monitoring support, final assessments, cost-benefit analysis, training packages, and knowledge management solutions.
In Bangladesh, we specialize in needs assessment, customized and complex research design and implementation of standardized surveys with a strong focus on the agri-food system.
1
To provide scalable and sustainable solutions to reduce all forms of malnutrition
2
To strengthen evidence in health and nutrition through independent research
3
To design novel, low-cost and easy to use monitoring stools
In our work, we see many opportunities that our partners and clients cannot easily fund. Our team invests in pro-bono research to explore small but promising excellent ideas and/or gaps in knowledge related to our focus areas.
WE PROVIDE INCREASED OPPORTUNITIES TO WOMEN AND JUNIOR RESEARCHERS IN LOW AND MIDDLE INCOME COUNTRIES (LMICS):
99% of our current workforce is now formed by women. We give preferred opportunities to women junior researchers in LMICs.
Currently, most of our work is focused on Asia and the Pacific. However, we have expanded our reach to Bangladesh due to its significant potential to improve nutrition outcomes for its population.
