Technical assistance services to the Nutrition Select Committee in Kiribati Parliament

Dikoda aims to provide technical assistance services to the Nutrition Select Committee in Kiribati Parliament in preparing its report on improving children’s diet.s

The project encompasses several objectives and methodological approaches. Firstly, a comprehensive situation analysis will be conducted to understand dietary practices, including their influencing factors and effects on children’s development. Dikoda will review existing policies and actions in Kiribati, ensuring an up-to-date analysis. The mapping of existing programs will identify challenges and constraints, using document reviews and stakeholder interviews. A strategy meeting will be facilitated to review data and devise strategies for program improvement. Lastly, Dikoda will collaborate with the committee to draft the final report, ensuring its alignment with project objectives and UNICEF guidelines. The report will provide recommended strategies based on contextual analysis, literature review, and overseas mission findings, aiming to improve dietary practices in Kiribati.
